You don’t have to hit rock bottom to reach out.
Most people who contact us are dealing with something deeply human:
Anxiety that won’t quiet down
Burnout & Emotional Exhaustion
Feeling disconnected from themselves
Uncertainty about identity, direction or what comes next
Trauma or painful experiences that still feel present
You’re allowed to reach out even if what you’re feeling feels difficult to explain. That’s something we can figure out together.
At North Shore Mental Health Services, we believe meaningful therapy begins with feeling genuinely understood. Our approach is collaborative, compassionate, and rooted in everyday life and real human experiences — creating space for people to show up honestly, feel supported without judgment, and experience care that adapts to the individual rather than forcing individuals into a one-size-fits-all approach.
Services
Individual Therapy

Relational Therapy
Relationships shape so much of our lives. Whether you’re navigating challenges with a partner, family member, or simply wanting deeper connection with others, relational therapy offers a supportive space to improve communication, strengthen relationships, and move through life’s transitions together.
We work with couples and relationships of all structures and identities.
Therapy isn’t about becoming someone different.
It’s about understanding yourself more fully.
Over time, therapy can help people:
- Feel more emotionally regulated
- Develop healthier coping patterns
- Strengthen communication and relationships
- Understand long-standing behaviors and patterns
- Build more self-compassion
- Feel more connected to themselves
- Navigate stress in healthier ways
- Create a clearer sense of direction and identity

Meaningful change often starts with feeling comfortable enough to slow down and be honest about what’s going on.
Starting therapy doesn’t have to feel complicated.

Reviews
“Before starting therapy, I thought seeking help was a sign of weakness, and that I could deal with my demons and trauma on my own. Turns out, I couldn’t. Going into therapy was the single most important and beneficial thing I have ever done for myself. My therapist put me at ease and allowed me to be my true self. She helped me sort out my trauma in a way that worked for me, and allowed me to no longer feel paralyzed by my past. My only regret is waiting as long as I did to finally take that big leap to seek out counseling.”
“I have been a client at NSMHS for several years. The atmosphere is welcoming and non intimidating. My therapist is caring and kind. I feel comfortable being myself, and talking about hard experiences. She is able to pinpoint different approaches to our sessions when needed. I don’t feel like just a “patient”, I feel like a person getting the help I need and deserve. I would, and have, recommend NSMHS to any one needing a safe space to talk.”
“I’ve been to many therapists who have given me insight into my mind, but I never had the tools to put it into practice until I started going to therapy at North Shore Mental Health. My therapist has helped me process trauma I didn’t realize I was carrying while also teaching me about the neuroscience and somatic aspects of mental health. My relationships with my partner, friends, family, and (perhaps most importantly) myself have all become significantly stronger since I became a client at this practice.”

You deserve support that feels human.
Reaching out is often the hardest part. After that, we take it one conversation at a time.
